Wamiqa is an Indian actress who mainly appears in Punjabi and Hindi movies and shows. She had her first on-screen appearance as a child with a small part in the Hindi movie Jab We Met (2007). She later achieved success as the main actress in the Punjabi films Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 (2013), Nikka Zaildar 2 (2017) and its sequel Nikka Zaildar 3 (2019), along with Kali Jotta (2023).
The turning point in her career occurred in 2023 when she played an aspiring actress in the celebrated period drama series Jubilee and portrayed a spy’s wife in Vishal Bharadwaj’s thriller film Khufiya, earning her a Filmfare OTT Award.
