Jaipur Woman Murder Case: A shocking murder case has surfaced from Rajasthan’s Jaipur, where a 23-year-old woman allegedly conspired with her relatives to kill her widowed mother for a government job and family property.

Police claim the accused, Ayushi, carefully planned the murder and tried to make it look like a fatal road accident. However, investigators uncovered the conspiracy during the probe.

So far, police have arrested seven accused, while one key conspirator is still absconding.

Jaipur Woman Murder Case: Murder Disguised as a Road Accident

The incident took place on July 3 in Jaipur’s Pratap Nagar area.

The victim, Neeraj Sharma (45), was returning home when a speeding Scorpio SUV allegedly ran her over. She died from her injuries, and the incident initially appeared to be a tragic hit-and-run accident.

However, Neeraj’s brother, Rakesh, suspected foul play. He approached the police and alleged that his niece and other family members were involved in the crime.

His complaint prompted investigators to examine the case from a different angle.

Jaipur Woman Murder Case: Police Uncover a Planned Murder

During the investigation, Jaipur Police found that the incident was allegedly a pre-planned murder rather than an accident.

According to investigators, Ayushi conspired with her paternal uncle, Mohan Swaroop, and a cousin to eliminate her mother.

Police said the accused allegedly hired assailants for ₹7 lakh to carry out the murder. On the day of the incident, the attackers reportedly followed Neeraj before deliberately hitting her with the SUV.

Investigators also relied on CCTV footage, which helped reconstruct the sequence of events and expose the alleged conspiracy.

Government Job Became the Alleged Motive

Police said Neeraj Sharma had secured a Lower Division Clerk (LDC) job in a court on compassionate grounds after the death of her husband, Vijay Kumar Sharma, about a year ago.

Investigators said Ayushi wanted that government job for herself.

During questioning, the accused allegedly admitted that she had asked her mother to give up the job after her father’s death. Her mother refused and continued working.

Police believe this dispute became one of the primary motives behind the murder.

Property Dispute Added to the Conspiracy

Apart from the government job, investigators believe the accused also wanted to gain control of the family’s property.

According to police, Ayushi, along with her uncle and other relatives, planned to eliminate Neeraj so she could claim both the compassionate appointment and the family assets.

To avoid suspicion, the accused allegedly staged the murder as a road accident.

Seven Arrested, One Accused Still Missing

Jaipur Police have arrested Ayushi, her uncle Mohan Swaroop, and five other accused for allegedly planning and executing the murder.

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
