India beat Bangladesh in Kanpur Test to win series 2-0; grab 18th consecutive series at home
India secured their 18th consecutive series victory at home by defeating Bangladesh in the second Test at Green Park, Kanpur, cementing their position at the top of the World Test Championship 2023-25 cycle.
Even with two days lost to rain, India still managed to produce a result, thanks to a strong batting performance on Day 4 and a clinical bowling display on the final day, dismissing Bangladesh for just 146 in the first session.
Jasprit Bumrah, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja each took three wickets, while Akash Deep got one as Bangladesh’s innings came to an end in 47 overs.

“I believe I was thinking about what I can do for my team. The scenario was different in Chennai and here. I was simply attempting to fulfill my responsibilities to my team and was giving my all. Each inning carries significance. I give my all and prepare in that way. Rohit bhai advised me to play the way I prefer. We discussed the need to at least put some scores, and we can play freely. We were determined to emerge victorious in this game and were fully committed to achieving our goal,” Jaiswal said in the post-match presentation.
