A major fire broke out in a three-storey building in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar area on Wednesday morning. The Delhi Fire Service (DFS) quickly responded to the emergency, bringing the blaze under control within a short period. Officials confirmed that no casualties or injuries have been reported so far.
Fire Broke Out in Basement of Three-Storey Building
According to the Delhi Fire Service, the fire started in the basement of a ground-plus-three-storey building spread across nearly 350 square yards. The flames rapidly spread through the structure, damaging electronic items, electrical equipment, furniture, and fixtures on all floors.
Firefighters managed to control the blaze by 6:30 AM. As of 7:05 AM, officials stated that no one had been injured or killed in the incident.
A statement issued by the Delhi Fire Service said:
“The fire broke out in the basement of a ground-plus-three-storey building spread over approximately 350 square yards. Electronic goods, electrical goods, furniture and fixtures on all floors were affected. The fire was brought under control at 6:30 AM, and as of 7:05 AM, no casualties have been reported.”
Authorities are yet to determine the exact cause of the fire, and further investigation is underway.

Investigation Underway
The fire incident was brought under control promptly by the Delhi Fire Service, preventing any loss of life. Officials are continuing investigations to determine the causes of the fire, while damage assessment is also underway.
