Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan are set to reunite as their hit franchise returns. Tanu Weds Manu 3 is scheduled to go on floors in 2026. More than a decade after Tanu Weds Manu 3 hit theatres, Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan are officially set to reunite for another chapter in the popular franchise.
The announcement was made as part of Eros Innovation’s plans to revive several well-known titles under the Eros Universe banner. While the makers have not shared a detailed production schedule, the project is expected to begin filming next year.
For fans, the biggest highlight of the new installment is the return of Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan as the iconic duo, Tanu and Manu. Their chemistry was a key factor behind the success of the first two films, helping establish the characters as some of the most beloved figures in contemporary Hindi romantic comedies.
The upcoming film will be helmed by Mitakshara Kumar, acclaimed for her work on The Empire and Heeramandi. The project is also being co-produced by Rudraksh Jyoti Soma Limited, adding further momentum to the franchise’s much-anticipated comeback.
While the makers have kept the plot under wraps, speculation surrounding Kangana Ranaut’s character has already begun. In Tanu Weds Manu Returns, she impressed audiences with a dual portrayal of Tanu and Kusum Sangwan, popularly known as Datto.
With the third installment now in the works, fans are eager to know whether Kangana will once again take on multiple characters. Industry chatter has even suggested the possibility of a triple role, though the filmmakers have yet to confirm any such development.
