The trailer for the upcoming crime series “Killer Soup” was released by its creators on Wednesday. “Umesh and Swathi are stirring up the most bizarre crime thriller of the year- and the secrets are about to boil over!” reads the caption on the video that the over-the-top platform Netflix posted on Instagram. The protagonist of the show is Swathi Shetty, an aspiring chef who wants her soup to be enjoyed by everyone. After a single misstep, a series of mishaps and desperate attempts at cover-ups land her and her companion in hot water.
“For the first time in my career, I will be playing a double role, both starkly different from each other,” revealed actor Manoj Bajpayee, who will portray Umesh, Swathi’s lover.

A peek of our wacky world against the backdrop of a tranquil village can be seen in the trailer. Key characters are played by Manoj Bajpayee, Konkona Sensharma, Nasser, Sayaji Shinde, Lal, Anbuthasan, Anula Navlekar, and Kani Kusruti in the Abhishek Chaubey-directed series.
“Killer Soup,” which is produced by Honey Trehan and Chetana Kowshik, will debut on Netflix on January 11, 2024.
