IGI Airport, New Delhi, 23 August, 2023: In another effort to combat narcotic drug trafficking, the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) recently arrested a Kenyan passenger who had arrived from Nairobi at the IGI Airport in New Delhi on Wednesday.

When asked, the passenger denied having any illegal items with them. However, after inspecting their luggage, DRI officers discovered around 1,698 grams of cocaine with an estimated value of roughly Rs. 17 crore on the black market. The passenger had an air ticket for a flight to Mumbai departing in a few hours, suggesting that the delivery of the illegal substance was intended for Mumbai.

POWER CORRIDORS

Power Corridors (PC), as the name suggests, is about realpolitik—what is happening in the quarters that matter, how and why it is happening, the statics and dynamics of the affairs of the state. Yet, PC is not confined to power politics; it goes beyond the vicissitudes of Lutyen’s Delhi. It also features the most important developments in the economy, society, culture, cinema—in life in general.

It is a general magazine, but it offers insights that would be the envy of specialist publications and academic journals. For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
