Star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli achieved the milestone of becoming the quickest player to reach 14,000 ODI runs during the Champions Trophy 2025 match against arch rivals Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday, February 23.
Prior to this match, the 35-year-old Kohli required just 15 runs to achieve the milestone. Kohli achieved the milestone with a boundary on the second delivery of the 13th over. He accomplished the milestone in his 287th ODI innings.

In the past, he scored 13,985 runs in 286 innings with an average of 57.78 and a strike rate of 93.43. Tendulkar reached the milestone in 350 innings, whereas the Sri Lankan star batter accomplished it in 378 innings.
Kohli became just the third player worldwide, following cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Kumar Sangakkara, to reach 14,000 ODI runs. The 36-year-old contemporary legend was also the quickest to reach 13,000 runs, achieving this milestone in September 2023 against Pakistan in Colombo during the Asia Cup.
The right-handed batsman holds the record for the most centuries in the 50-over format, being the sole cricketer globally to achieve 50 ODI hundreds.
