‘Stree 2’ reaches Rs 400 crore worldwide
Stree 2, a horror comedy starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, appears to be dominating the box office with its success. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie reached a significant milestone on August 22nd when it finished its eight-day stint in theaters. The movie surpassed the Rs 400 crore global mark after its release on August 15. In India, it has surpassed the Rs 300 crore milestone.
According to film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Stree 2 collected Rs 289.60 crore by Wednesday, consistently performing well at the box office during weekdays. According to the most recent report from industry tracker Sacnilk, Stree 2 made a total of Rs 305.6 crore with a Thursday earning of Rs 16 crore.
Globally, the movie has surpassed the Rs 400 crore milestone. Maddock Films announced on Thursday that Stree 2 has made a total of Rs 401 crore worldwide in just one week, with Rs 342 crore coming from India and Rs 59 crore from overseas. By Thursday, the revenue had surpassed about Rs 417 crore.

Stree 2 has now crossed the Rs 400 crore mark faster than any other Bollywood film, following the success of the 2018 film Stree. It has exceeded the box office collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan in 11 days, Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal in 11 days, SRK’s Pathaan in 12 days, Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 in 12 days, Prabhas’s Baahubali 2: The Conclusion in 15 days, and Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2’s Hindi version in 23 days.
Stree 2 has emerged as the top-earning movie for actress Shraddha Kapoor. Her highest-earning movie up to this point was the 2019 film Saaho, where she starred alongside Prabhas. The total earnings across all languages were Rs 310.60 crore, out of which Rs 145.67 crore came from the Hindi dubbed version.
