Skoda Kodiaq features
The Skoda Kodiaq 4X4 features a 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine that produces 204PS of peak power and 320Nm of maximum torque. A 7-speed DSG automatic transmits power to each of the four wheels. The recently introduced Volkswagen Tiguan R-Line features the identical powertrain. However, the Kodiaq is manufactured at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar plant (previously called Aurangabad). The Tiguan R-Line has come to India through the completely built-up (CBU) method.
Built on the MQB37 platform, the updated Kodiaq features a configuration for seven seats. It boasts an impressive ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 14.86kmpl. The SUV measures 4,758mm, which is 59mm longer than the previous generation. It stands 1,679mm tall and 1,864mm wide, with a wheelbase measuring 2,791mm. When fully loaded, the Kodiaq offers a ground clearance of 155mm. When all three rows are raised, the Kodiaq provides 281 litres of cargo capacity. When the third row is folded down, the SUV has a cargo capacity of 786 litres. By folding the second and third rows, the luggage space expands to an impressive 1,976 litres.
The new Skoda Kodiaq is equipped with Crystallinium LED headlights that offer a welcoming effect. The Selection L&K version features dark chrome details, whereas the Sportline model includes shiny black accents. The front grille features a built-in horizontal light strip. The back features a red line linking the LED taillights.
There are seven exterior color choices available: Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey, Velvet Red, Race Blue, Bronx Gold (exclusive to the Selection L&K variant), and Steel Grey (exclusive to the Sportline variant).
The SUV provides two unique interior styles: a completely black sporty design for the Sportline model and luxurious Cognac leather seating in the Selection L&K version. There is an infotainment system that measures 30.2 inches, featuring multifunctional smart dials that include tactile rotary knobs and screens for managing HVAC, seat ventilation, audio preferences, and driving modes. A new gear selector is positioned behind the steering wheel, along with a tablet holder for passengers in the back.
The updated Kodiaq will provide a standard warranty of 5 years or 1.25 lakh kilometers, whichever comes first. Additionally, there is a 10-year free road-side assistance. Skoda Supercare is also offered, a complimentary maintenance package for the customer during the initial year.
