Telangana CM Revanth Reddy felicitates Mohammed Siraj for his great contributions to Indian cricket
Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy honored Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj on Tuesday for his great contributions to Indian cricket, notably his participation in winning the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Siraj, who came to Hyderabad last week following India’s T20 World Cup success, made a courtesy call on the Chief Minister at his home.
‘Siraj has brought immense pride to the country and state’: CM Reddy
During the meeting, CM Revanth Reddy felicitated Siraj for his extraordinary talent and acknowledged him as one of the greatest players in world cricket. “Mohammed Siraj has brought immense pride to our country and great honor to the state of Telangana,” the Chief Minister declared.
“The Chief Minister, Revanth Reddy, complimented all-round cricketer Mohammed Siraj, who has given enormous reputation to India and our state, Telangana, in international cricket. Siraj, who had arrived in Hyderabad after winning the T20 World Cup, paid the Chief Minister a courtesy visit at his residence. Siraj was honored on this occasion,” Telangana’s CMO wrote in the caption to a photo of Siraj’s meeting with Reddy.

Siraj receives a home and a job from state government
“The Chief Minister praised Siraj’s outstanding performance at the T20 World Cup 2024. The officials were directed to give Siraj a residence and a job on behalf of the state government. The Chief Minister directed officials to select a suitable location in Hyderabad or adjacent areas and take adequate steps to provide government jobs,” he wrote in the caption.

As a show of appreciation for his accomplishments, the Chief Minister announced that the state government will provide Siraj with a residential site and a government position. The Telangana Chief Minister directed officials to find a suitable plot of land in Hyderabad or the nearby districts and to hasten the process of granting a government position for the fast bowler. Siraj, who attended victory celebrations in Hyderabad following Team India’s winning parade in Mumbai, went to the CMO’s official residence, where former Indian captain Mohammad Azharuddin and his son were also present.
