Legendary Malayalam actor Mohanlal has been hospitalized to a Kochi hospital with symptoms such as a high fever, breathing difficulty, and muscle pain. According to an official medical statement, the actor is suspected of having a viral respiratory illness.
The 64-year-old actor has also been instructed to adhere to a specified medicine schedule and stay out of the public eye for five days. The industry tracker Sreedhar Pillai posted the hospital’s official statement.
Mohanlal recovering well under observation
Mohanlal returned to Kochi from Gujarat, where his illness worsened, after finishing the shoot for ‘L2: Empuraan’ and post-production on his directorial debut ‘Barroz’. Fortunately, recent medical reports indicate that he is currently healing nicely under monitoring.

Mohanlal’s ‘Barroz’ to be released on October 2
The film ‘Barroz’ will be released on October 2, marking the start of this year’s nine-day Navratri holiday. It is the actor’s directorial debut, and he is better known to fans as Lalettan.
The film was originally scheduled for release on March 28, 2024. However, the film’s creators chose to postpone the release due to post-production difficulties.
