Sources stated that the Indian Army thwarted an ambush by Pakistani infiltrators at its post along the LoC and killed seven of them, including 2-3 personnel from the Pakistan Army, during the night of February 4-5.

The event, occurring in the Krishna Ghati area of J&K’s Poonch district, coincided with Pakistan’s commemoration of ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day,’ a propaganda effort aimed at promoting its anti-India narrative.

According to sources, the Indian Army ambushed Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT), specialized units for cross-border missions, as they were trying to strike a forward post.

According to sources, 2-3 of the seven fatalities were regulars from the Pakistan army. The individuals killed in the operation were probably part of the Al-Badr group.

The update follows Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s statement earlier this week expressing a desire to address all matters, including Kashmir, with India through conversation.

Notably, the new initiative arose while leaders of terrorist groups such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) convened in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), revealing the nation’s hypocrisy.

India has consistently maintained that Jammu and Kashmir, along with Ladakh, “was, is, and shall forever” be a vital part of the nation and has stated that cordial ties with Pakistan are achievable only in a setting devoid of terror and violence.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
