Hylo Open 2024: India shuttlers enjoyed a great outing on Thursday

The Hylo Open 2024, a Super 300 competition, provided some surprising results for young Indian shuttlers on Thursday. The Indians displayed a powerful performance on the court in Germany.

The main attraction was Rakshitha Ramraj, who caused a surprise by beating the player seeded second. At the same time, Malvika Bansod, India’s big hope in women’s singles, advanced to the quarter-finals. In general, Indian badminton players had a successful day.

Promising Malvika Bansod’s overcomes Denmark’s Iris Andersen

Malvika Bansod displayed strong determination as she overcame Denmark’s Iris Andersen, who holds the 119th ranking. The 6th seed dominated the game and emerged victorious in two straight sets, winning with scores of 21-13 and 21-16. Bansod’s powerful strikes and clever tactics prevented Andersen from getting into a groove.

Rakshitha Ramraj stuns Scotland’s Kirstly Gilmour

Another standout moment of the day was when 17-year-old Rakshitha Sree Santosh Ramraj pulled off a surprise victory by defeating Scotland’s second-seeded Kirsty Gilmour.

Rakshitha’s impressive skills were showcased as she won in a mere 35 minutes with scores of 21-14 and 21-12.

Ayush Shetty dominates Italy’s Giovanni Toti

Ayush Shetty also performed amazingly, beating Giovanni Toti from Italy in the Round of 16. Shetty triumphed in straight games within just 33 minutes, achieving scores of 21-13 and 21-9. His impressive showing places him in a favorable position as he progresses in the competition.

Satish Kumar defeats Harry Huang

Sathish Kumar Karunakaran advanced to the quarter-finals after a strong victory against Harry Huang. The 7th seeded player won in two straight games, with scores of 21-12 and 21-15. His display demonstrated his mastery and expertise, positioning him as a competitive participant in the current competition.
