This was the initial stage of the ceasefire agreement that began following a three-hour delay when Israel accused Hamas of delaying in supplying a list of the hostages it would release. While the delay occurred, Israeli aircraft bombarded Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 13 individuals, as reported by Palestinian health officials.
The Israeli military announced that Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari were reunited with their mothers in Israel after 471 days. The girls encountered them near the location where Hamas kidnapped them during a music festival on October 7, 2023, which sparked the conflict in Gaza.
The Israeli military released a video suggesting that the three girls seemed to be in good health. Damari, who was shot and kidnapped by Hamas, lost two fingers but was seen smiling and hugging her mother while showcasing her bandaged hand.
