The 2025 Ather 450X and Ather 450 Apex models include multi-mode traction control, a feature aimed at increasing rider safety by stopping the scooter from sliding on surfaces with low friction. The traction control system operates in slippery conditions to align the rear wheel speed with the front, providing enhanced stability.
Riders have the option to choose among three different modes — Rain Mode, Road Mode, and Rally Mode. Rain Mode emphasizes utmost safety by minimizing slipping to improve traction on slick and wet surfaces. The Road Mode achieves a harmony between safety and efficiency, perfect for daily cycling. The Rally Mode is tailored for off-road lovers, providing managed slip. This function improves rider safety and reveals performance capabilities, offering the assurance and command needed to maximize the scooter’s potential in all situations.
Ather has concentrated on enhancing range and has launched multi-compound tyres created in collaboration with MRF for the 2025 Ather 450. Moreover, energy consumption has been optimized through functions such as Magic Twist, which minimizes energy loss from friction during braking, boosting the total range.
The company asserts an enhancement in TrueRange of as much as 130km for the Ather 450X 3.7kWh (IDC range 161km) and the 450 Apex (IDC range 157km). The 450X 2.9kWh (IDC range 126km) and the Ather 450S (IDC range 122km) will now provide an enhanced TrueRange of as much as 105km.
MagicTwist, a feature that was initially introduced with the 450 Apex and later with Rizta Z, will now be accessible on the 2025 450X as well. MagicTwist is created to improve rider usability and control by enabling the rider to adjust vehicle deceleration using only the throttle. The MagicTwist throttle allows the rider to twist to speed up and turn in the opposite direction to control deceleration at any charge level.
The 2025 Ather 450 will utilize AtherStack 6, the most recent iteration of Ather’s software platform, which includes several features like Google Maps, Alexa, WhatsApp alerts on the dashboard, ‘Ping My Scooter’ for tracking, and real-time location sharing.
