Bollywood actress Zareen Khan was ordered by a city court on Monday to refrain from leaving the country without its permission in relation to a cheating case that was reported to the Narkeldanga police station in Kolkata.
Following Khan’s legal representation, the Sealdah court granted her interim bail till December 26th, subject to a ₹ 30,000 personal bond. Additionally, the court prohibited Khan from leaving the country without first receiving permission from Kolkata Police.
The court also ordered Zareen Khan, who moved to Kolkata from Mumbai, to show up for every hearing.
The actress allegedly accepted an advance of about ₹ 12 lakh to perform at a Durga Puja event here in 2018, which is when the case began. But when she failed to show up, the organizers filed a complaint at the Narkeldanga police station against her and her manager.
In relation to the case, the court issued an arrest warrant for Zareen Khan in September.
