Rohit Sharma has experienced numerous ups and downs throughout his illustrious career with India. From being excluded from India’s 2011 World Cup team to leading the team to victory in the 2024 T20 World Cup as captain, his journey has been remarkably eventful.

Over the past nine months, Rohit has gone through numerous ups and downs – his IPL team, the Mumbai Indians, ended up at the bottom of the IPL 2024 standings, only to later lift the T20 World Cup trophy as captain, followed by India enduring consecutive Test series losses that led to missing the WTC final for the first time in three attempts, before finally winning the ICC Champions Trophy this month; it has truly been a tumultuous journey.

Rohit understands the significance of staying positive and maintaining a smile no matter the outcomes.

Rohit stated in a video posted by MI, “My career over the past 17-18 years has been filled with ups and downs, teaching me countless lessons in life. These nine months were also alike.”

“Regardless of winning or losing, we must keep smiling, we must keep smiling,” Rohit states.

“It is a very simple statement, yet it carries great meaning. No matter what occurs, ultimately you must seek a way to smile, feel joy, and find peace with the situation. That’s the reason we always discuss that whenever we communicate in a group, as players and as a team. Let’s try and find a way to move on, regardless of winning or losing,” he states.

Nonetheless, surmounting setbacks is not an easy endeavor, but Rohit believes that life is all about progressing and discovering methods to continue battling.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
