Parliament Security Breach 2023
On the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack, December 13, last year, two persons jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery and opened canisters that released yellow-colored smoke, causing alarm among legislators. Outside the building, two additional people were arrested for similar offenses.
The six who were arrested for the security breach conspiracy were Manoranjan D, Sagar Sharma, Amol Dhanraj Shinde, Neelam Ranolia, Lalit Jha, and Mahesh Kumawat.

The interrogation of Amol Shinde, a Maharashtra native apprehended outside Parliament near Transport Bhawan, revealed that the six had known each other for the previous four years through social media. “They shared the same ideology and therefore decided to send a message to the government.” The security authorities are investigating whether they were ordered by someone or any organisation,” an officer said.
The investigation also revealed that they were unhappy about problems like as the farmers’ protest, the Manipur situation, and unemployment, which led them to conduct this deed.
