On Wednesday, unidentified assailants hacked to death a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader in Telangana’s Kurnool district.

The incident occurred when Srinivasulu was on way to his fields in Hosur region

According to police, the incident occurred on Wednesday morning while TDP politician Vakiti Srinivasulu, a former sarpanch (village head), was on his way to his fields in the Hosur region of Kurnool’s Pattikonda sub-division.

Srinivasulu was attacked with knives and later died from his injuries.

Tensions grew in the area following the incident

Tensions in the area grew after the incident, and police officers were sent in to keep everything under control.

Garikapati Bindu Madhav, the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Kurnool, has stated that an investigation has been started to look into the murder from every angle. In addition, the police teams have discovered proof that the attackers were in the vicinity of the crime scene, and they are still looking into the matter.

“We are investigating all aspects of this murder, including whether there was a family conflict or any political parties involved. Special teams have been constituted to investigate the murder. “An investigation is underway,” Madhav told the media about the TDP leader’s murder.

Meanwhile, Nara Lokesh, Telangana Minister and party General Secretary, accused local YSRCP workers of being behind the TDP leader’s murder.

In a post on X, Lokesh stated, “I strongly condemn the brutal killing of former TDP Sarpanch Vakiti Srinivasulu by YSP mobs in Hosur, Pattikonda mandal of Kurnool district. Srinivasa was brutally murdered by placing pepper in his eyes since he played an important role for the TDP in the elections. Despite popular rejection, Jagan and co. continue to commit such atrocities. Given the public government’s tolerance for incompetence among Telugu Desam members, those who perpetrate such acts will face severe consequences. The Telugu Desam Party supports the Srinivasulu family, which is under the control of the YCP group.”

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
