Tata Motors launches Altroz Racer in India
Tata Motors has announced the launch of the Altroz Racer. The new sporty hatchback comes in three variants: R1, R2, and R3, with prices beginning at Rs 9.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Altroz Racer sports a distinctive appearance with a two-tone color scheme. The car’s bonnet, roof, and rear hatch are all black, with a black spoiler on top. It also features black ORVMs and matching alloy wheels.

The Altroz Racer sits at the top of the Altroz lineup. It incorporates a 360-degree camera, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. The top-spec R3 model has ventilated front seats, an air purifier, and iRA linked car technology.
Tata Motors has also announced two new variants of the basic Altroz: XZ LUX, XZ+ S LUX, and an updated XZ+ OS. These come with an option of petrol manual, petrol DCA, diesel, or CNG powertrains.

Tata Altroz Racer Engine
The Altroz Racer is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine mated only to a six-speed manual transmission. This Nexon-sourced engine is modified to produce 118bhp and 170Nm of peak torque. In this configuration, the Altroz Racer competes with the Hyundai i20 N Line in the performance hatchback sector.
