Randeep Hooda Talks Openly About The Financial Struggles and Difficulties Behind “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar”
The public’s reactions to Randeep Hooda’s most recent release, Swatantrya Veer Savarkar, were not entirely positive. The movie took in little money at the box office. In response to criticism of the movie, the director and star said he had to sell his house in order to finance the project.
Randeep Hooda discussed his film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar’s lack of critical acclaim in an interview with Ranveer Allahbadia. He stated, “We had difficulties making the film from the start because the team that was initially attached to the project, those people didn’t have the intention to make a quality film.” Their only goal was to produce a movie. And that quality was not going to work when I joined the team as a director. As a result, we encountered numerous production issues as well as a financial crisis.

Physical Transformative Process and Personal Sacrifices of Randeep Hooda for “Swatantrya Veer Savarkar”
I had to sell the properties my father bought for me with his hard-earned money for this film, even after I got my horses. This kind of movie didn’t receive the support it deserved from anyone. The people who contributed to the movie alongside me, my team, and the actors did offer support, but we received no additional funding. And so I continued on my own. I’m not sure why we didn’t receive that assistance. However, I don’t want to relive the difficulties I had while producing this movie. The only people who know what my wife, family, and I went through are us.
He went on to discuss his dramatic weight loss for the movie, revealing how he dropped to 60 kg. “I would have only water, black coffee, and green tea, then I added some dark chocolate and nuts to my diet, and then I added chilla to my diet. I started having trouble sleeping, and on set, I fell a few times.

Then, recalling how he had injured his knee while horseback riding, he said, “I once blacked out and fell off the horse.” Under the knee, my leg was pointing in a different direction. I fixed it by punching it back into place, but after that, I was taken to the emergency room. My three ligaments were torn. “I went on a fast stimulation diet after that, and only I know how I reduced weight—and that too with a limp leg,” he continued. Throughout the day, all I would eat would be a spoonful of almond butter, a spoonful of coconut oil, and a few nuts. That concludes it.
