Sanjay Kumar, a Supreme Court judge, recused himself on Thursday from hearing AAP leader and former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia‘s bail petitions, which sought to be resurrected in the liquor policy fraud.
Sisodia is seeking bail in proceedings filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the liquor policy scam.
‘Our brother has some difficulty, will not like to hear the matter for personal reasons,’ says Justice Khanna
A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna, Sanjay Karol, and Sanjay Kumar stated that another court, without Justice Kumar, will hear Sisodia’s two separate bail petitions in cases filed by central agencies.
“Our brother has some difficulties. He will not like to hear this matter for personal reasons,” Justice Khanna stated as the session began today.
