HD Revanna arrested in Kidnapping Case
The family of former Prime Minister of the country HD Deve Gowda is facing legal troubles. His son HD Revanna and grandson Prajwal Revanna are badly stranded in the alleged sexual abuse case involving hundreds of women.
A case has been registered against both of them under various sections and the state government has formed a SIT to investigate the matter. In the case of kidnapping of one such victim woman, SIT today arrested HD Revanna. HD Revanna was taken into custody by the Karnataka Police shortly after he requested temporary arrest protection.

At the time of arrest he was at his father HD Deve Gowda’s house. After his arrest, he was presented in the court where he has been handed over to SIT for custody of one day.
A kidnapping case against HD Revanna stems from claims that his associate kidnapped the mother of a man in his 20s. The complainant, Raju HD, worked as a housekeeper at Revanna’s property alongside his mother.
The woman was reportedly abducted on April 29 from her residence by Revanna’s relative Satish Babanna, and she was detained at the farmhouse in Kalenalli that belonged to MLA Rajasekhar’s close aide. Earlier in the day, Karnataka Police came to the woman’s aid.

Karnataka Police imposed non-bailable sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) to file a complaint against the JDS MLA, citing Section 364A (kidnap) and Section 365 (forceful restraint).
Sexual Abuse Case
Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda and the son of HD Revanna. His polling agent reported to the police on election day that some of her fabricated images and videos were being shared widely around the Hassan area. “The accused are going door to door and showing these obscene photos and videos, provoking people,” the agent claimed.
Prior to the constituency’s elections, thousands of sex tapes purportedly shot by Prajwal himself and starring hundreds of women were made public. The Karnataka government formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) on April 27 in response to the increased attention being paid to this latest “sex scandal” in order to look into these claims.
