Salman Khan sent Eid greetings to his followers on Monday. The superstar, dressed in a white kurta-pyjama, waved to the crowd outside his Bandra mansion behind bulletproof glass. Khan grinned at his admirers, wishing them a happy celebration. He was joined by his sister Arpita Khan’s children, Aayat and Aahil.
Khan may be seen posing with Aayat in a number of popular images on social media platforms. The actor’s presence coincides with the release of his film ‘Sikandar’, which has gotten mixed reviews in theaters. Khan is also facing many murder threats from criminal Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang members. This is why he has reinforced security around his home and encased his residence with bulletproof glass.
The actor also posted a video of himself welcoming the throng of fans outside his building. He could be seen hoisting his niece to offer her a view of the crowd. “Shukriya Thank you, and Eid Mubarak (sic)!,” he added in the caption to his post.
The 59-year-old recently purchased a bulletproof limousine and recruited professional protection to supplement his existing bodyguards while filming in Hyderabad and Mumbai for his several projects.
Meanwhile, Khan’s film ‘Sikandar’, which opened in India on Sunday, earned approximately Rs 30 crore nett on its first day. The film is expected to perform stronger business today and in the coming days, given the Eid festivities. The film is likely to gross Rs 100 crore by the end of its first week.
Sajid Nadiadwala produced the film, which stars Sathyaraj, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sharman Joshi. He is yet to announce his next project.
