PV Sindhu‘s father PV Ramana stated that she plans to aim for a medal at the upcoming Asian Games and, as long as she avoids injuries, she will strive to compete in the following Olympics. He mentioned that she has returned to training at Gachibowli stadium in Hyderabad and will begin with the Arctic Open (October 8-13) in Finland.

Sindhu has begun training in Hyderabad, said father PV Ramana

Her father stated that it is unlikely for Sindhu to keep training in Bangalore, but the future is unpredictable. He mentioned that training has commenced in Hyderabad as the camps have not yet begun.

Sindhu, who claimed Olympic silver in 2016 and bronze in 2021, came back from her initial Games empty-handed, losing to eventual silver medalist He Bingjiao in the pre-quarters in Paris.

Anup Sridhar, a former Olympian and tall player, who briefly coached Lakshya Sen, will join Sindhu on a trial basis for the European swing – Arctic Open and Denmark Open (October 15-20).

“We are looking for a new coach with Agus’s contract ending. We are keen to see how a partnership with Anup Sridhar works out, and are looking at 4-5 names going forward. Anup will travel to Finland and will train her in Hyderabad in coming days,” Ramana said.

Korean Park Tae-sang’s name was also being taken into account. “They didn’t break up following an argument. Both Sindhu and I believed the partnership was not successful and producing outcomes,” he said.
Sindhu has struggled winning major titles on the competitive circuit, as her performance has significantly declined and fallen below top-tier competition. However, her father believes she is still determined to compete in the Asian Games in Japan in two years. Sindhu achieved her best performance in 2018 Jakarta by winning the silver medal.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
