PV Sindhu‘s father PV Ramana stated that she plans to aim for a medal at the upcoming Asian Games and, as long as she avoids injuries, she will strive to compete in the following Olympics. He mentioned that she has returned to training at Gachibowli stadium in Hyderabad and will begin with the Arctic Open (October 8-13) in Finland.

Her father stated that it is unlikely for Sindhu to keep training in Bangalore, but the future is unpredictable. He mentioned that training has commenced in Hyderabad as the camps have not yet begun.
Sindhu, who claimed Olympic silver in 2016 and bronze in 2021, came back from her initial Games empty-handed, losing to eventual silver medalist He Bingjiao in the pre-quarters in Paris.
Anup Sridhar, a former Olympian and tall player, who briefly coached Lakshya Sen, will join Sindhu on a trial basis for the European swing – Arctic Open and Denmark Open (October 15-20).

“We are looking for a new coach with Agus’s contract ending. We are keen to see how a partnership with Anup Sridhar works out, and are looking at 4-5 names going forward. Anup will travel to Finland and will train her in Hyderabad in coming days,” Ramana said.
