Following ongoing overnight aggression from Pakistan, the government has verified that four major Indian Air Force (IAF) bases – Udhampur, Pathankot, Adampur, and Bhuj – experienced minor damage due to the attacks.
India precisely struck six Pakistani air bases
In retaliation, the Indian Armed Forces executed targeted attacks on six Pakistani airfields: Rafiqui, Murid, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunia. These rapid and strategic attacks, as stated by the government, aimed solely at military facilities and were carried out to reduce collateral damage.
In a special briefing regarding the intensifying conflict, Colonel Sophia Qureshi remarked that Pakistan aimed to target 26 strategic locations overnight, including air bases and transport centers. A fast-moving missile was launched at an airbase in Punjab at approximately 1:40 am, and there were reports of assaults on civilian infrastructure at medical facilities and school grounds close to the airbases in Srinagar, Awantipora, and Udhampur.

‘India attacked radar installations at Pasrur and Sialkot’: Colonel Qureshi
Colonel Qureshi emphasized that Pakistan continuously operated along India’s western front with drones, fighter jets, and long-range artillery. Indian forces, adopting a stance of restraint, only acted against “pre-identified military targets,” which included technical infrastructure, command and control centers, radar facilities, and weapons storage locations. These involved attacks on radar installations at Pasrur and the Sialkot airbase utilizing precision-guided munitions fired from combat planes.
Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, addressing the media, said, “The Indian armed forces remain in a high state of operational readiness. All hostile actions have been effectively countered and responded to proportionately.”
She also stated that Pakistan’s claims of destroying Indian S-400 defence system were fabricated and false. She further alleged that Pakistan was conducting a harmful misinformation campaign. The government released time-stamped photos of intact Indian airbases to refute these assertions.
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri shared these views, denouncing Pakistan’s actions as incendiary and heightening tensions. He also denounced the shelling in Rajouri earlier that day, which led to the death of Additional District Development Commissioner Raj Kumar Thapa and other civilian losses.
On the ground, Pakistan’s military was seen deploying troops to forward positions, suggesting a definite intention to escalate. Numerous airspace breaches were noted along the Line of Control (LoC), along with intense artillery shelling in areas such as Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, and Akhnoor. Indian troops launched intense counterattacks, causing significant damage to Pakistani locations.
