Indian business magnates Mukesh and Nita Ambani, set to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration as President of the United States, posed a photo with the President-elect prior to the ceremony. The pair also went to a private reception in Washington on January 18.
The Ambanis are anticipated to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony on January 20. Mukesh Ambani, listed as one of the richest people globally, is expected to have a prominent seat next to other notable guests, such as members of Trump’s Cabinet and politicians, as reported by ANI.
The Ambanis’ presence underscores their enduring association with the Trump family. Mukesh Ambani attended Ivanka Trump’s visit to Hyderabad for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit in 2017 while she served as an advisor to Donald Trump.
He participated in events during Donald Trump’s official visit to India in 2020. The bond grew stronger in 2024 when Ivanka Trump, her spouse Jared Kushner, and their oldest daughter Arabella Rose participated in the pre-wedding festivities for Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani, and Radhika Merchant in Jamnagar, Gujarat.

Trump’s Swearing-in Ceremony
Trump’s inauguration ceremony, set for January 20, will occur indoors because of the severe cold affecting Washington DC. This is the first occasion since 1985 that an inauguration of a US president has been held indoors.
The day of the inauguration will include a customary church service, a tea at the White House, and the swearing-in event at the Capitol, succeeded by Trump’s inaugural speech.
India’s representation at the event will be through External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. Among the other significant attendees are global business executives like Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Sundar Pichai, alongside political figures such as Barack Obama, Kamala Harris, and Hillary Clinton.
