Mihir Shah, son of Shiv Sena leader Rajesh Shah confesses to driving BMW: Sources
Mihir Shah, the primary accused in the Mumbai hit-and-run case, reportedly admitted to driving the BMW that collided with a scooter, killing a woman. According to police sources, during questioning, Mihir described his actions leading up to the fatal accident as well as what he did afterwards.
Mihir, 24, is the son of Rajesh Shah, a Shiv Sena leader from the Eknath Shinde faction. He was apprehended at a resort in Virar, a suburb of Mumbai, after avoiding capture since Sunday morning, when the accident occurred.
According to sources, Mihir’s evening started at a Juhu bar. However, his night took a disastrous turn when he allegedly drove from Juhu to Borivali, then to Marine Drive before proceeding to Worli. According to reports, Mihir switched seats with his driver near Haji Ali. He acknowledged to driving the lavish car that slammed the two-wheeler.

Mihir fled the scene fearing repercussions from his family
Mihir fled the scene before his father arrived in Bandra, fearing repercussions from his family. Rather than returning home, he took safety at his girlfriend’s home in Goregaon.
Mihir had a beard when he was arrested, which authorities suspect he altered to conceal his identity.
Police registers case of culpable homicide against Mihir
The police have filed a culpable homicide charge against Mihir. His driver, who was in the passenger seat during the hit-and-run, has also been arrested, and his mother Meena, sisters Pooja and Kinjal, and friend Avdeep are all being questioned by police.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, where concerned authorities will seek his remand for further investigation.
