Television actress Sanchita Ugale, known for her appearance in the popular TV show Kumkum Bhagya, was found dead at her residence in Mumbai. She was 22 years old. Vinod Bagh of Achole Police Station, the incident occurred between 7:00 pm and 7:30 pm on June 14. Police officials stated that Sanchita was found unconscious in her bedroom after the door had reportedly been locked from the inside.
She was rushed to the Vasai-Virar Municipal Corporation Hospital for medical treatment, where doctors declared her dead after examination.
On June 15, Achole Police registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR) under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) based on a complaint filed by her father, Machinda Ugale. Officials have clarified that the exact cause and circumstances surrounding her death are yet to be determined, and further investigation is ongoing.
