The Udaipur administration suspended internet services in the city for 24 hours on Friday in response to communal unrest after a class 10 student was allegedly stabbed by a fellow student at a government school. The accused student was eventually apprehended by the authorities.
The decision to shut down the internet was made in light of the law and order situation, according to an official announcement issued by the government.

Meanwhile, Udaipur district collector Arvind Poswal has ordered all the schools and colleges in the city to remain closed on Saturday until further orders.
Calling it a “tragic occurrence,” BJP MLA Phool Singh Meena claimed, “The situation in Udaipur has developed into a riot. We should demolish the accused’s residence with a bulldozer. We witnessed a similar outrage in Udaipur as we did in the Kanhaiyalal murder case.”
