A nurse from Uttarakhand was raped and murdered; her body was discovered in Uttar Pradesh days later. The nurse was reported missing on July 31. Police located her body on August 8. A couple from Rajasthan has been arrested in connection with the case.
Victim’s sister had filed a missing complaint on July 31
On July 31, the victim’s sister filed a missing person complaint with a police station in Rudrapur, Uttarakhand. The cops initiated an urgent inquiry. On August 8, the woman’s decomposed body was discovered in the bushes in Uttar Pradesh’s Bilaspur town.
The post-mortem report confirmed to the nurse’s death by strangulation following a rape.

The lady worked at a private hospital in Rudrapur
The woman, who worked at a private hospital in Rudrapur, was last seen on CCTV footage on July 30 while coming from work in the Dibdiba neighborhood of Bilaspur, a town near Rudrapur.
The police responded by sending various squads and tracking her mobile number.
Upon reviewing the CCTV footage close to the crime scene, the police discovered a suspicious man who was seen trailing the woman on the day of the incident. This inquiry directed them to the Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh. Unfortunately, the suspect had absconded by the time the police reached the location.
Suspect identified as one Dharmendra
The police then broadened their search across Haryana and Rajasthan. Eventually, the suspect, Dharmendra, was discovered in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The police arrested him and his wife and transported them to Rudrapur for questioning.
During the interrogation, Dharmendra admitted to the crime. He admitted that on the evening of July 30, he observed the nurse going alone down the road. Taking advantage of the darkness, he forced her into the bushes.
