The remains of a Congress worker were discovered crammed into a suitcase close to a bus stand in Rohtak district of Haryana on Saturday, according to police. The Congress called for an in-depth investigation into the death of Himani Narwal (22), who was linked to party MP Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The incident occurred just before municipal elections for 33 bodies throughout the state, with the results expected on March 12.

Observers near the Sampla bus stand noticed the suitcase and alerted the police.

Upon getting details concerning the incident, law enforcement and a forensic team arrived at the scene and discovered Narwal’s body within the suitcase.

Authorities reported that the victim’s neck was encircled with a dupatta and there was mehendi on her hands. Police believe that Narwal, who lived in Rohtak’s Vijay Nagar area, might have been killed by being strangled with her dupatta.

Her remains were transported to PGIMS Rohtak for an autopsy.

The Congress expressed sorrow over the demise of the party worker in a post on X and called for an unbiased inquiry into the incident.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
