September 2021 saw RKS Bhadauria retire from government employment, making way for Vivek Ram Chaudhari to take over as chief.
“I am grateful to the party leadership for providing me with this chance to once more aid in the development of the country. I spent more than forty years in the IAF, but the past eight years, when the BJP administration was in power, were the greatest. This government’s strong measures to modernize, empower, and make our armed forces self-sufficient have not only given the forces new capabilities, but also newfound confidence. On the ground, the government’s decision to become more self-reliant is showing results… The government’s actions are critical from a security perspective and will propel India to new heights in the world,” former Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said after joining BJP.
Bhadauria’s long service in the Indian Air Force (IAF) was praised by BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde, who also expressed confidence in his ability to make a significant political contribution following his active participation in the armed forces.
