VERY disturbing visuals from Guwahati.
Atleast 5 people killed and many injured after an unknown gunmen opened fire at a hotel lobby in Bora Service.
Only recently Assam Govt had started to roll out gun license, the policy definitely needs to be revisited.

The circumstances leading to the confrontation, including how the disagreement escalated into a fatal shooting, remain under investigation. Police are expected to examine the accounts of witnesses and other available evidence to establish the precise sequence of events and determine the circumstances in which the weapon was used.
The recovery of the licensed pistol is a key part of the investigation. Officials have not, in the information available so far, disclosed whether the accused had made prior threats or whether any earlier complaints had been filed over the lease dispute in Guwahati.
The names of the deceased and the arrested leaseholder had not been released in the initial police account. Further details are expected as investigators continue questioning the accused and examine evidence gathered from the scene.
While the preliminary investigation points to the lease-related property dispute as the immediate trigger, police have yet to establish publicly all the events that preceded the shooting. The motive, the precise course of the confrontation and the individual circumstances of each victim’s death remain subject to the ongoing investigation.
