The raid’s video footage reveals a pile of cash notes strewn across a room that is allegedly owned by Sanjiv Lal, the personal secretary of Jharkhand Rural Development Minister Alamgir Alam’s domestic assistant. In the Jharkhand legislature, Alamgir Alam, a 70-year-old Congressman, is the representative from the Pakur seat.

It has been told that this money was kept in big bags. ED has recovered gold jewelery along with cash from here. ED has raided 9 places including the servant’s house.

BJP has attacked the Congress over the incident. BJP spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev said on this matter, “The endless saga of corruption of Jharkhand government is not ending. ₹350 crore was recovered from the house of a Congress MP, ₹20 crore was recovered from the house of the Mining Secretary. ₹10 crore was recovered from the house of Chief Minister’s close aide Pankaj Mishra and now recovery has been made from the house of PS Alamgir Alam. We demand that Alamgir Alam be detained.”

BJP has said in this matter that this money has been recovered at the time of elections, hence it should be ascertained that it is not being used to influence the elections.

Along with this, BJP has demanded immediate strict action in this matter.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
