The family was travelling from Bahadurgarh, Haryana. They were traveling to Haridwar for a holy dip in the Ganga when the tragedy unfolded.

Driver Allegedly Reversed After Missing Exit at Delhi-Dehradun Expressway

According to preliminary information, the driver crossed the Halgoya Cut and continued ahead before attempting to reverse the car toward the missed exit through an under-construction stretch of the Delhi-Dehradun expressway.

The CCTV footage appears to show the vehicle reversing onto the carriageway when a Scorpio SUV, reportedly travelling at a high speed in the slow lane, slammed into the rear of the car. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances, and the exact speed and responsibility of the Scorpio driver have not been officially determined.

The impact was catastrophic. The family’s car was dragged several metres and crushed beyond recognition, while the Scorpio lost control and overturned. Highway surveillance cameras captured the entire sequence.

Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
