Dyson launches Airstrait straightener in India worth Rs 45,900
Dyson has finally launched its Airstrait straightener in India, costing hair Rs 45,900. This latest addition to Dyson’s hair care product line promises to provide consumers with a one-of-a-kind hair straightening experience thanks to its breakthrough technology, which styles hair using air rather than hot plates, reducing heat damage to hair.
According to Dyson, the Airstrait straightener is intended for diverse Indian hair types, allowing users to achieve a natural straight style while keeping the hair’s strength and health. Unlike typical straighteners, which utilize hot plates to flatten hair strands, the Airstrait employs high-pressure air blades to both dry and straighten hair. The device has two arms that create a properly angled air blade, which directs airflow downwards and into the hair, drying and straightening it.
According to James Dyson, Dyson’s Founder and Chief Engineer, understanding how to manage and realize the potential of tremendous airflow is crucial to the performance of the Dyson Airstrait straightener. This knowledge, accumulated over the last 25 years, has allowed us to introduce our first wet to dry straightener, which has no hot plates and no heat damage. Delivering the ease-of-use that consumers love about straighteners, but with high-velocity air blades that save time, keep hair strong, and provide an everyday natural straight style.”

Dyson Airstrait straightener features
The Airstrait styles hair with controlled airflow and minimal heat, minimizing frizz and flyaways while maintaining natural shine. Behind the mechanics, the device is powered by Dyson’s Hyperdymium engine, which provides enough airflow to dry and straighten hair at the same time. The Airstrait, like other Dyson hair care devices, includes sophisticated heat management.
It has glass bead thermistors that measure the airflow temperature up to 16 times per second, guaranteeing that it remains within the appropriate range to prevent heat damage and retain hair’s natural shine. This data is used to manage the heating element and ensure that the airflow does not exceed the required temperature.
The Airstrait has two basic styling modes: ‘Wet’ and ‘Dry’, as well as a ‘Cool’ mode for setting the style.
