Bangladesh MP murdered by illegal immigrant; body chopped
Investigations have shown that a Bangladeshi MP who is thought to have been killed in Kolkata was skinned, chopped up in an apartment, and thrown out in multiple plastic packets all around the city. Two days after his arrival in Kolkata on May 14, Anwarul Azim Anar went missing.
With the arrest of Jihad Hawladar, a Bangladeshi immigrant living in Mumbai illegally, the West Bengal CID (Criminal Investigation Department) has made a major investigative breakthrough. Jihad Hawladar has admitted to his role in the murder and mutilation of the Bangladesh MP’s body in an apartment in Kolkata’s New Town, according to CID officials.
Shocking details have surfaced about how the crime was painstakingly planned and carried out. Hawladar reportedly revealed that the mastermind was Akhtaruzzaman, a US citizen of Bangladeshi ancestry. On Akhtaruzzaman’s orders, Hawladar and four other Bangladeshi nationals strangled and killed the MP in a New Town flat.

According to CID authorities, the suspect, Jihad Hawladar, a professional butcher from Barakpur in Bangladesh’s Khulna region, was staying in Mumbai illegally.
Hawladar was recruited by the Awami League MP’s friend Akhtaruzzaman, a US citizen, in whose rented apartment he was killed. CID sources said he landed in Kolkata about two months ago.
On Wednesday, Bangladesh Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan announced that Anwarul Azim Anar had been slain, and three persons had been apprehended. The Bengal CID discovered bloodstains inside the New Town apartment and retrieved many plastic bags, which they believe were used to dispose of the body parts.

Chilling details of the crime revealed
According to investigators, circumstantial evidence indicates that the MP was strangled before having his body sliced into multiple parts.
The revelations are disturbing. Hawladar allegedly informed authorities that after killing Anar, the group skinned the body, removed all of the flesh, and minced it to eliminate any chance of identification.
The remnants were then packed in plastic bags, with the bones broken into small bits. The suspect claimed that these parcels were transferred and disposed of across Kolkata.
The police say they’re looking for more information on the whereabouts of the dead Bangladesh politician’s remains.
