Atiqa Mir (born 2014) is an Indian kart racing driver from Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. She is known for being the First Indian and Asian female racer. Competing in the Champions of the Future Academy Program in Thessaloniki, the young racer delivered a flawless performance, leading the race from start to finish after topping the qualifying sessions.

Mir’s victory has been hailed as a significant achievement for Indian motorsport, with the youngster continuing to establish herself as one of the country’s brightest racing prospects.

“I was very emotional when the National Anthem played.” – ATIQA MIR

Her Early Life

Mir was born in Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir, India, and moved to Dubai at an early age. She began racing electric karts recreationally before transitioning to professional karting. Her father, Asif Nazir Mir, is a former national karting champion in India and has supported her racing career.

Her rise feels particularly significant in a sport where women, especially from South Asia, remain underrepresented. Mir is currently the highest-ranked female in the FIA International Kart Ranking in her category and has consistently outperformed expectations despite often being one of the youngest racers on the grid.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
