NEW DELHI, July 25, 2026 — Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday seized on the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, framing the minister’s departure as a direct victory for India’s youth while issuing a stark warning to the Modi administration: “The time has come to remove this government.”
Describing Pradhan’s exit as merely the first step toward overhauling a deeply compromised education system, Gandhi commended the relentless nationwide student agitation that forced the Centre’s hand. Accountability for State Violence: He demanded strict and immediate legal action against the officials and authorities responsible for using excessive police force to brutalize and suppress peaceful student demonstrators during the weeks of unrest.
