The Meerut woman who reportedly murdered her husband with her lover’s assistance admitted to her parents that she carried out the crime because he prevented her from taking drugs, her father informed India Today TV. The father claims that the woman’s friend, who assisted her in murdering her husband and encasing his body in a cement-filled drum, had gotten her hooked on drugs when their relationship started.

The father also stated that his daughter, known as Muskan Rastogi, did not deserve to live and should be executed.

Saurabh Rajput, the victim, wed Muskan Rastogi in 2016 following a love marriage. For the last three years, he had been residing with her and their five-year-old daughter in a rented home in Meerut.

The police report states that Saurabh was last spotted on March 4, the day of his murder. Muskan is charged with killing Saurabh with assistance from her partner Sahil Shukla.

Muskan’s dad, Pramod Rastogi, mentioned that his daughter informed him Saurabh prevented her from taking drugs, and that’s the reason she ended his life. “She mentioned that she couldn’t survive without drugs,” Pramod Rastogi remarked.

Emphasizing that Saurabh was like his son, the father of the accused stated that Muskan lost her right to live and deserves to be hanged for her wrongful actions. “My daughter does not have the right to exist. He bequeathed assets valued in crores to my daughter,” he stated.

The mother of the accused, Kavita Rastogi, stated that her daughter contacted her on March 17 and informed her about a dispute with Saurabh. She mentioned that she would visit her home and share more details about it.

Upon arriving home, Muskan began to cry and embraced her mother. When her mother inquired about what occurred, Muskan asserted that Saurabh was killed with a knife by his relatives.

Muskan’s worried father chose to bring her to a police station to report the incident. During the journey, when Pramod asked Muskan again, she admitted that she and her partner, Sahil, had murdered Saurabh.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
