Bhumi Pednekar starrer Bhakshak‘s trailer has finally been released. The crime thriller had already created a buzz when the makers released the teaser. Inspired by true events, Netflix’s upcoming crime drama Bhakshak premieres on February 9.

The film is directed by Pulkit also stars Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar in pivotal roles. Soon after the trailer was released, Shah Rukh Khan gave it a shoutout on social media.

The trailer for the movie was published by Shah Rukh Khan on the microblogging platform X, which was originally called Twitter. Shah Rukh responded, “All the best for the film,” to Pulkit, the film’s director, who thanked him and described the experience as a dream. It’s such a powerful movie! Additionally, the entire cast is superb.”

The film is based on the Muzaffarpur Women’s Shelter Case in which Brajesh Thakur and 11 others were sentenced to life imprisonment for physically and sexually assaulting several minor girls.

The film, which finds inspiration in distressing real-life incidents, stars Pednekar as an investigative journalist who discovers a string of sexual assaults at a home for children in need. The film, which was directed by Pulkit, features a cast that includes important roles from Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar. It will debut on Netflix on February 9.
