PM Modi’s visit to Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Maharashtra on Saturday to inaugurate several development projects across the state.. His first stop will be in Washim, where he will perform darshan at the Jagdamba Mata Temple in Poharadevi. Following this, he will pay tribute at the samadhis of Sant Sevalal Maharaj and Sant Ramrao Maharaj. Later in the morning, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Banjara Virasat Museum, a celebration of the rich heritage of the Banjara community.

At noon, he will launch several initiatives related to the agricultural and animal husbandry sector, amounting to around Rs. 23,300 crore. This includes the disbursement of the 18th instalment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi, which will provide about Rs. 20,000 crore to approximately 9.4 crore farmers. With this release, the total funds disbursed to farmers under PM-KISAN will reach around Rs 3.45 lakh crore. Additionally, the Prime Minister will unveil the 5th instalment of the NaMo Shetkari Mahasanman Nidhi Yojana, disbursing around Rs. 2,000 crore.

Furthermore, he will dedicate over 7,500 projects under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF), valued at over Rs 1,920 crore. These projects include custom hiring centres, primary processing units, warehouses, sorting and grading units, cold storage projects, and post-harvest management initiatives. The Prime Minister will also dedicate 9,200 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) with a combined turnover of about Rs 1,300 crore.

In a push to enhance cattle breeding practices, the Prime Minister will launch the Unified Genomic Chip for cattle and indigenous sex-sorted semen technology. This initiative aims to provide farmers with affordable access to sex-sorted semen, reducing costs by approximately Rs. 200 per dose. The Unified Genomic Chip, named GAUCHIP for indigenous cattle and MAHISHCHIP for buffaloes, has been developed alongside genotyping services to help identify high-quality bulls at an early age.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will dedicate five solar parks with a total capacity of 19 MW across Maharashtra under the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana – 2.0. During this programme, he will also honour beneficiaries of the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for a new administrative building for the Thane Municipal Corporation, set to cost around Rs 700 crore. This high-rise structure aims to centralize municipal offices and enhance service delivery for the citizens of Thane.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
