Pawan Kalyan condemns attack on Hindu temple in Brampton; urges Canada Govt to take immediate action
On Monday, Pawan Kalyan, the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of the Jana Sena Party, expressed serious concern about the recent attack on a Hindu temple by pro-Khalistan groups in Brampton, Canada. He called on the global community to acknowledge and address the challenges experienced by Hindus with equal urgency and commitment as they do for other groups.
“Today’s attack on a Hindu temple and on Hindus in Canada strikes at the heart, sparking both anguish and alarm. It is my fervent hope that the Canadian government takes immediate, decisive steps to ensure a safe and secure environment for the Hindu community there,” Kalyan wrote in a post on X.
“This is not merely a plea for compassion but a call for action. A call for the world to acknowledge and address the suffering of Hindus with the same urgency and commitment it offers others. Humanity cannot afford selective compassion — let us stand united, with unwavering resolve, against the persecution of any community, anywhere,” he said.

On Sunday, demonstrations outside the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton turned violent as protesters with Khalistani flags clashed with others. Unconfirmed videos shared on social platforms showed moments of unrest, with demonstrators displaying Khalistani banners.
Several videos depicted people engaging in fist fights and hitting each other with flagpoles in the area believed to be the temple’s surroundings.
Pawan highlights global vulnerability of Hindu community
The actor-turned-politician also highlighted the worldwide susceptibility of the Hindu community, underscoring their frequent experiences of violence and prejudice with minimal support or unity from the global community.
“It pains me deeply to see our Hindu brothers and sisters enduring persecution, violence, and unimaginable suffering in places like Pakistan, Afghanistan, and recently, Bangladesh. Hindus are a global minority, and as such, they receive little attention, little solidarity, and are easily targeted. Every act of hatred, every instance of abuse against them is a blow to all who cherish humanity and peace,” he said.
