Reports indicate that Hamza bin Laden, son of Al-Qaeda‘s founder and the mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks Osama bin Laden, was believed to have been killed in a US airstrike in 2019, but is allegedly still alive and currently heading the terrorist organization.

Hamza playing a significant role in Al-Qaeda’s resurgence

As per a new intelligence report revealed by The Mirror, Hamza bin Laden is alive and actively involved in Al-Qaeda’s comeback.

The report also discloses that senior Taliban officials are informed about Hamza’s situation and stay in frequent communication with him. It is reported that these leaders are offering him and his family protection and assistance.

“These leaders… engage with him, holding regular meetings and securing him and his family. It highlights a deep connection between al-Qaeda and the Taliban, one that is crucial for Western governments to understand. [Hamza] has ascended to the leadership of al-Qaeda, steering [it] towards its most potent resurgence since the Iraq War,” the report stated.

Hamza’s brother Abdullah bin Laden also actively involved in reviving the group

The report states that Hamza, who is 34 years old, resides in Jalalabad, a well-known hub for terrorist activities, situated approximately 100 miles to the east of Kabul.

Under his guidance, there are reports that Al-Qaeda is regathering and strategizing for upcoming strikes on Western objectives. Furthermore, Abdullah bin Laden, his brother, is also actively participating in the group’s efforts to revive it.

“Under his command, al-Qaeda is regrouping and preparing for future attacks on Western targets. Hamza is driven by a powerful determination to continue the legacy of his father, which adds a symbolic and strategic weight to his actions. Moreover, Hamza’s brother, Abdullah bin Laden, plays a critical role in this revival,” the report stated.

The report also indicates that Hamza and his four wives might have gone to Iran to escape from the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
