Introducing significant updates in design and features, Hero MotoCorp launched the new-generation Hero Destini 125 in India on January 14, 2025, coinciding with the auspicious Makar Sankranti and Pongal festivities.
The scooter is available in three variants: VX, ZX, and ZX+, with introductory ex-showroom prices in Delhi set at ₹80,450, ₹89,300, and ₹90,300 respectively.
Design and Features
The 2025 Hero Destini 125 showcases a neo-retro design, featuring LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs, copper-toned chrome elements, and diamond-cut alloy wheels. The scooter offers a longer seat, enhanced legroom, and a spacious floorboard for improved rider comfort. Notably, it includes
Engine and Performance
Powering the Destini 125 is a 124 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that delivers 9 bhp at 7,000 rpm and 10.4 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm, paired with a CVT automatic gearbox. The engine incorporates Hero’s i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology and a one-way clutch, contributing to a claimed segment-leading mileage of 59 kmpl.
Safety and Convenience
The scooter is equipped with a 190 mm front disc brake on the higher ZX trims, while the base VX variant features drum brakes at both ends. It rides on 12-inch alloy wheels and includes a wider rear tyre for enhanced stability. Additional conveniences comprise a boot lamp, front glove box, mobile charging port, and a digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity, offering features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/message alerts.
Color Options
The VX variant is available in Eternal White, Regal Black, and Groovy Red. The ZX comes in Cosmic Blue and Mystique Magenta, while the top-spec ZX+ is offered in Eternal White and Regal Black with copper chrome accents.
With these enhancements, the new Hero Destini 125 aims to strengthen its position in the competitive 125 cc scooter segment, rivaling models like the Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, and Suzuki Access 125.

As of now, specific sales figures for the new-generation Hero Destini 125, launched on January 14, 2025, have not been publicly disclosed. However, prior to this launch, the Destini 125 was a part of Hero MotoCorp’s scooter lineup, contributing to the company’s overall sales.
