3 Senior members of Hamas including Rawhi Mushtaha killed in strike in northern Gaza

On Thursday, the Israel Defence Forces announced that they had killed three senior members of Hamas, including Rawhi Mushtaha, who is in charge of their Gaza government.

The IDF disclosed that an underground compound in northern Gaza was targeted in a strike that resulted in the deaths of Rawhi Mushtaha and two other Hamas commanders, Sameh Siraj and Sameh Oudeh. Hamas did not immediately provide any comment.

The Israeli military reported that the three leaders had sought shelter in a highly secure underground facility in northern Gaza, which also functioned as their headquarters.

“Approximately 3 months ago, in a joint IDF and ISA strike in Gaza, the following terrorists were eliminated: Rawhi Mushtaha, the Head of the Hamas government in Gaza, Sameh al-Siraj, who held the security portfolio on Hamas’ political bureau and Hamas’ Labor Committee, Sami Oudeh, Commander of Hamas’ General Security Mechanism. IAF fighter jets struck and eliminated the terrorists while they were hiding in a fortified and equipped underground compound in northern Gaza,” the IDF said in a post on X.

“The compound served as a Hamas command and control centre and enabled senior operatives to remain inside of it for extended periods of time. The IDF will continue to pursue all of the terrorists responsible for the October 7 massacre and will operate against anyone who threatens the State of Israel,” the IDF said in a statement,” it added.

POWER CORRIDORS

Former Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commended Power Corridors as a commendable news magazine, affirming that it not only upholds Media Dharma but also fulfills its societal obligations. Power Corridors, as its name implies, delves into realpolitik—examining the essence of influential circles, unraveling the intricacies of political maneuvers, and exploring the pulse of the state’s affairs. However, it transcends mere power dynamics, encompassing a broader spectrum of issues beyond the confines of Delhi’s elite circles.

For PC, which is published by the Interactive Forum on Indian Economy, not only highlights the issues of the day but also throws up what ought to be the subjects that the country should be debating about. It reports about the plans, strategies, and agendas of politicians and others; it also sets the agenda for the nation.
