“Illiterate idiot”: Adnan Sami blasts Ex-Pak minister over citizenship tweet

Famous singer Adnan Sami has responded to a recent tweet by former Pakistan minister Ch Fawad Hussain. Hussain recently tweeted on his social media 'X' asking if Adnan will also be sent back to India after Union Home Minister Amit Shah had asked Chief Minister of Indian states to ensure that all Pakistani nationals be sent back to their country following the tragic Pahalgam Attack.

Famous singer Adnan Sami has responded to a recent tweet by former Pakistan minister Ch Fawad Hussain. Hussain recently tweeted on his social media ‘X’ asking if Adnan will also be sent back to India after Union Home Minister Amit Shah had asked Chief Minister of Indian states to ensure that all Pakistani nationals be sent back to their country following the tragic Pahalgam Attack.

“What about Adnan Sami?” Fawad had tweeted. In response Adnan Sami replied, “Who’s going to tell this illiterate idiot.” Check it out here:

Apart from this one Pakistani user made fun of Adnan and wrote, “Adnan, bhai. Koi masla nhi, aap Pakistan mat aao. Fawad bhai ko chodo—aap ko abhi bohot information gather karni hai?” Adnan responded to the tweet in a fiery way and said, “Haan… Abhi unkareeb woh dhamaakedaar information aapko udthi hui aaee gi!! Aapko Lift Karade gi!! Enjoy.”

Adnan Sami acquired Indian citizenship in 2016

In 2016, Adnan Sami acquired Indian citizenship, and ever since, he and his family have lived in Mumbai. In his earlier remarks to the BBC, the singer expressed that he felt unsafe in Pakistan. He was more concerned about the safety of his family than his own.

Following a prolonged struggle with the Pakistani government, Adnan Sami submitted a request for Indian citizenship, and in 2016 he obtained Indian citizenship.

Adnan Sami is a highly popular musician in India also. He has had a career spanning nearly four decades, with his initial single Run for His Life hitting No. 1 on Middle Eastern music charts in 1986.

He has worked alongside renowned artists such as Asha Bhosle and given numerous successful albums, including “Kabhi To Nazar Milao” and “Tera Chehra”. Adnan Sami is recognized for highly popular tracks such as Tera Chehra, Lift Karadey, Tere Binam Teri Yaad, Mahiya, Baarish, Pal Do Pal, and Nain Se Naino Ko Mila, among others.
